This story was delightfully satisfying. I literally could not put it down and now I'm on a book high.

Scottie has tried to forget about a horrible incident that happened to him five years ago. He's moved across the country and he's become isolated and socially awkward.

Lance is a bartender in New York City. He's been burned in the past and has spent the last couple of years picking up random guys and never seeing them again. When he walks into the vet's office with his mom's dog and sees Scottie, he puts on his douchebag cocky attitude and tries to get a minute alone with him. But Scottie's way too scared of him.

When they run into each other again, they both can't escape the feeling that is pulling them both together. But will Scottie ever open up? And what if Lance can't handle what happened to him?

Oh, man. I have to say, at first I didn't know if I'd make it through the story. It started off a little rough. I thought Lance was awful. It took me a while to really feel anything but anxiety when he spoke to Scottie, but he was so sweet with him and said the best things and was so real.

The dialogue between them was so great, and the writing was phenomenal. I loved the way Scottie's people took care of him and welcomed Lance into his life. They both had such great support, which helped make the relationship believable. And that's one thing this was... believable. I loved every moment of their relationship.

Again, I can't say enough. Such a sweet, wholly satisfying read.
