Fling (Nothing Serious #1)Fling by Baylin Crow
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was love and hope and an added bonus of sweet.

Hayden is spending the summer between high school and college at home, living next door to the only man he's ever wanted. But Dean is his best friend's older brother. And Reese would never want them together.

Dean is home for the summer after he's graduated from college and awaiting word on an internship. He's a total player, relationships aren't for him. After his father left them when he was little, he's sure he's happy moving from one person to the next. But when he sees Hayden at his house with Reese, he can't help but really see him in another light.

Alternating POV's is probably my favorite writing style, especially when it's done well and there is a definite shift in language and state of mind. Ms. Crow did an excellent job of writing Hayden as a nerdy, humble, Star Wars loving dork who was very true to himself. I really, really loved him as well as Dean, who was more of a jock, but had so much appreciation for a little nerdiness and I absolutely loved his love of Hayden's glasses.

I was somewhat confused by some of the other characters in the story, mainly Dean's friends and Levi. They were introduced and appeared throughout the story, but there was a lot of mystery around them and how they tied into this relationship. I'm assuming that there will be other books in the series that will unravel that in time.

Overall, the story kept up it's pace and the MC's were both loveable and I was cheering them on by the end. Well written and a good HEA.
