Second to None by Felice Stevens
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I was given this arc in exchange for an honest review.
This is my first book by Felice Stevens and I'm going to have to go back and do some reading. I realized halfway through this that it's the third in a series, however, it could be a complete stand alone. I didn't feel as though I was missing any information at all.
Marcus grew up alone and has set up himself for a reality where he answers to no one and he gets what he wants. Until he meets Tyler. Tyler is a single dancer who's taking care of his 4 yr old niece and living paycheck to paycheck. All of his previous work experience involved inappropriate bosses who devalued his talents. Trust comes hard to Tyler and love comes hard to Marcus.
I really enjoyed this book. It was steamy and funny and real. I enjoyed the fatherhood aspect as well, for Marcus as he was so selfish and unforgiving at the start. It was fun to see his character grow. This was a great read.
